Getting to Dublin

Dublin is conveniently served by both an international airport and port, with frequent European and international services to both. Full details of the services to and from Dublin can be found on the Dublin Airport and Dublin Port websites.

Other Irish airports with international services include CorkShannon and Ireland West Airport at Knock and all have excellent connections with Dublin.

Getting to UCD

Public Transport

UCD is located in the south of the city, approximately 7 km from the the city centre (O’Connell Street).

The campus is well served by s number of frequent, high-capacity bus services, including the 39a, 46a and 145. Full bus service details can be found on the Dublin Bus website.

The campus is also served by a number of private operators, such as AirCoach, which provides direct links to and from Dublin Airport.

Parking on Campus

Parking on campus is quite restricted and cannot be pre-booked. Most parking is free, except for specifically designated pay-and-display areas. Please pay particular attention to the designation of individual car parks and visit the UCD Commuting web pages for more details.
